Time without my precious one

Right now I am at the library, by myself! We went up to Collinsville to see Grammy and Granpa and do taxes. Brenda's V-tine gift was taking care of Andrew and letting me go alone all day. Wow, what a nice gift. David is working 70 hrs right now, so it's all me, so it is nice to some things alone. But, I miss him!!! I was looking at some old pics last night and started crying. When they are a certain stage, we get so caught up in life, in doing the right thing, in everything. Yet now that it is over I fear that I have not appreciated it enough. Did I relish in that wonderful time? Am I relishing in this wonderful time? He is learning so much and is so funny, and I want to appreciate it. He is my love and before I know it, it won't be just him and me (no, no news yet). I want to remember to step back, take a deep breath and enjoy. Ya know??

I hope you don't mind me getting deep, I just wanted to take this time and share what is on my heart, and remind everyone to REALLY relish in every moment. It's funny people of older children say that all the time, but until we live it, we don't really understand it, ya know! I love you all, have a great day and enjoy your children!

Sleeping..finally

Luckily, Andrew has been sleeping through the night, he does like for us to sit in the room with him until he is sleeping, but David has enjoyed doing this, b/c it gives him time with him. He was going through a stage where he was waking up and the only way he would go back to sleep would be for me to lay down on the floor next to him. Like I said though, he has been sleeping all night, yet I woke up at four one morning and found myself in his floor! Oh goodness! I know he did not cry and I don't remember him waking up, yet there I was asleep in the floor! Well, this was a sweet pic...(Thank you Leanne for the blanket!)

Love you all, have a great weekend!!
Oh BTW...I get bored easily,so hense the new look!

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!!

Or as Blue Clue's said, "Happy Love Day!". Yesterday Andrew had 'Doughnuts with Dad' at school yesterday and this is a picture of him.

Right after I took this pic, I ran out of pics on my memory stick so there isn't any pics with David at the party, but there are some pics of Daddy and Andrew playing with Leggos.

David is a wonderful Valentine! I woke up to some cards and a new book! He gave me a card from him, from Andrew and to Andrew. All this and working 10 hours a day...what a sweetie!!! I hope you all had a special day, you are all wonderful! Love you all!!!

Playing Ball

Andrew got this basketball goal for Christmas and loves it! He shoots baskets all the time with his daddy. When he misses, he says "I miss". What's funny is that if you miss he says, "I miss". I really think if he could he would sleep shooting baskets or throwing a ball. I was scared to have a boy, b/c I wasn't sure what I would do, but it's funny, I didn't have to know, he knew what to do. Right off the bat, he played with balls, cars and he loves to draw...he really amazes me. Lately, he has been speaking in complete sentences, he even says my name and identifies what he wants, "Momma, I want ball...Momma, I want juice...Momma, I want PopTarts. (He has really been craving PopTarts lately! :) ) It is too cool! Everyday he does something new...who knew it was going to be this great!!

How many ways do I love me?

Doesn't that sound selfish? As a mom and wife and Christian sometimes we don't want to think that way: loving ourselves or counting ways to love me, but we need to. I love FlyLady (click on my link to read more) and right now, with it being the month of love, she is giving subscribers good things to do for ourselves. Like, going to bed early so we can feel better, or eating well and exercise. I mean after all don't we give our children a bedtime and good meals and make sure they get out often...why shouldn't we do that for ourselves (again, not an original thought, but from FlyLady)? So in the spirit of the month, let's remember to take time out for ourselves, but also to do things a little bit each day to show ourselves we love ourselves. After all, God did not make junk! I love you all!
